In two recent TV documentaries, our lab has been featured for its efforts in biofabrication strategies at large. The episodes had a particular interest on kidney bioprinting, as a test case where thanks to the work of the group of Dr. Carlos Mota, we are studying how to create 3D in vitro models with which we can better understand kidney pathologies and regenerative processes. General challenges and successes in the field of biofabrication have been discussed as well.
